I've just noticed - we've lost our ads.

I wonder why that is? Perhaps no-one wants to be associated with us any more.

I don't know. You can buy 'points' from the hosts which allow you to remove the ads, but I've certainly not delved into my pockets. Perhaps you can earn them and I just hadn't noticed - and after 10,000 posts in two and half weeks we've earned some points.

More likely, it's just a glitch and they'll realise we shouldn't be ad free.

In any case that bar across the top with Forum, Members, FAQ and so on looks too close to the rest of the action.

Bad times.

Dunno if it's coincidence but since the ads disappeared my page loads have returned to a somewhat normal speed. Huzzah.

Ah, got to the bottom of this. Apparently the adverts have been discontinued on all English boards.

The French side of these forums is much bigger - and they've still got adverts. But it was decided that us Roast Beefs are too insignificant to bother with.
