Only 3 games - and two of them are tests, so it will be a small squad I think. My squad would be:

WTF can you deduce from 2 Tests that serves to "influence" the ICC country rankings?!

India and their freakish, myopic infatuation with the short game!

We've done this one to death. Everyone's pretty much blaming everyone else.

The ECB wanted the BCCI to drop two ODIs to fit in the third Test, but the BCCI wouldn't budge.

The BCCI wanted the ECB to extend the tour beyond it's scheduled end date of just before Christmas, but the ECB wouldn't budge, insisting that their players want to be home for Christmas.

And both boards claim the problem has arisen because of the ICC scheduling the ICC Trophy so close to India's series with Australia, causing it to be put back a week and messing up the whole FTP planning which had earmarked a three-Test India and England series.

The bottom line is the same: two Tests. No more.

I hope this isn't the sign of things to come. A 2 test series against Bangladesh would be forgiveable, but not India.

I would prefer if they substituted the 2 Tests for 5 additional ODIs, or 10 20:20 games. That would be luverly.

It would serve India right if we skittled them out for 100 on a green top on the first morning, and hang on to fluke a win leaving them with no time to win the series, because there's only one test left.

oh.........another great guess i guess. The main reason why i passed high school was because of my ability to guess RIGHT.

Back on topic then, it's going to be at least 10 of the 11 who played this match (Ambrose being the one under threat) plus two random keepers (he may still be one of them), Sidebottom, a second spinner (probably Swann) and a backup batsman (almost certainly Bopara).

Can't see any surprises, including Vaughan being considered again at this stage, and don't think they will take more than 15. So Shah likely to miss out along with Simon Jones and Tremlett.
