I've just seen that Emile Heskey is still making appearances for us.
Think that tells me all I need to know - I'll skip the lowlights...

Farkin' Frank Retard.
FFS.
How many frikkin' managers have the FA got to sack before one of the qunts gets the b'starding message that Retard and Gerrard can't play in the same bloody midfield.
How difficult can it be?
You can't play them both without a defensive midfielder because it leaves you too exposed, or one of them doesn't play to his strengths.
That lesson finally seems to have been learnt and so plays Barry. When Barry plays with Gerrard in the centre of midfield, England look a half decent side.
But no, oh no, Fabio falls into the same old trap and compromises on the above by bringing Lampard back into the side, which means you've got no width.
I know, we'll put Gerrard out on the left that'll work.
NO IT FOOKIN' WON'T!!!
It still gives us no width as Gerrard ain't a wide man, and he wants to come inside anyway.
Awful, dreadful, clueless, pitiful, woeful, dire...plain, downright sheet.
And at the heart of this is Frank Retard meandering like a headless chicken, clucking around and clucking up in midfield.
Fully deserved the resounding boos the prick got when he was taken off.
So, so frustrated.*
Just when the Olympics was lulling you back into a false sense of security and disillusionment that sport was actually quite good...
* - In case you hadn't noticed.

Midfield should be:-
Bentley, Gerrard, Barry, Cole.
Defence was ok.
James is the best of a bad bunch of keepers.
The strike partnership is a conundrum.
I'd try to get a Crouch / Rooney partnership to work initially, though Rooney needs to have it drilled into him that he can't come back and overcrowd the midfield as often as he does.

Re: Nothing about the football?
The trouble is they try and get as many stars out on the pitch as possible.
I finally though we had a manager that would pick a system and then pick the players to suit it.
I guess not.

Re: Nothing about the football?
Id agree with your midfield, im not too bothered if its Hargreaves or Barry though. Bentley has been class ever since Wenger let him go. Id rather have him back than that hacker Eboue.
Rooney and Agbonlahor. Since i first saw him a few years ago been saying hes a future England man. Got everything you need to play with Rooney (although hes not that tall i suppose)

A fit Hargreaves craps all over Barry.
England still get goals through Beckham.
Crouch is shite as well.

Re: Nothing about the football?
Hargreaves is a proper bruising anchorman but he wont come forward at all. Barry is a good anchorman and he will link the rest of the midfield in better.
Depends what kind you want and what system youre playing.

Barry has been in England's top 2 or 3 players in just about every game he's played for England.
The fact that he doesn't catch the eye of the less initiated doesn't make his performances any less effective.
And Crouch might not be ideal, but an English football team requires a target man, and he's tall (farkin' tall), decent enough in the air (if not exceptional) to use that height, has a better touch than he's given credit for, and he scores goals.

Re: Nothing about the football?
Actually I have to say, with a good anchorman almost by definition you DONT notice him when he plays well. Its the rubbish ones that stand out because they leave their defence hopelessly exposed. Take Flamini last season, no one really noticed him but he was very close to our best player last year. Works hard and guards the back four. In fact we havent even bothered to replace him, which worries me a bit.

Re: Nothing about the football?
Just when I thought we couldn't get any worse Capello puts out a diabolically bad side that plays shatter than a shat thing that's shat. What I saw tonight sickened me to the pit of my stomach.
James-Elephant shat-3
Brown-Camel shat-4
Terry-Dog shat-5
Ferdinand-Cat shat-6
Cole-Dog shat-5
Gerrard-Mouse droppings-7
Barry-Cat shat-6
Lumpard-Tyrannosaurus Rex shat-2
Beckham-Tyrannosaurus Rex shat-2
Rooney-Dog shat-5
Defoe-Cat shat-6
Imo James, Fwank and Beckham aren't fit to wear the shirt and need putting out to pasture, NOW!
Christ, I'm angry.
