Re: US open tennis
Brit Anne Keothavong beats the Italian 25th seed Schiavone to move into the 3rd round (last 32), the first British woman to reach this stage of the US Open since Jo Durie in 1991.
Blimey - first the Olympics, then a decent JAMODI cricket side, and now (the most ridiculous idea of the lot) a GB female tennis player threatening to move into the world's top 50.
Who'd have thunk it?

Aye, saw that.
We really should be better at tennis with at least a couple of men and women in the top 50. Bit depressing that the British girl who won junior wimbledon was raised in Oz.

Rohan and Aisam lost in doubles
Aisam also lost to Moya in singles(3 sets to 1)- Aisam had 33 aces but that wasn't enough

Federer has a very easy draw until the semis where he will potentially face Joke.

Murray looks like he's on his way out, thank goodness. Him and joke are the only two players currently playing that I cannot stand.

Re: US open tennis
I thought Federer was going to go out last night. It doesn't bode well for his title ambitions if he isn't putting away players like Andreev with ease. On form you'd have to say he is possibly 4th favourite at this stage, maybe worse. Would love him to prove me wrong though.

Huh? I checked on the US open website for the results and she was. Is it far behind?
