How much does a passport cost?
The cost of a UK passport will vary depending on how you apply. For example:
The cost of a UK passport will vary depending on how you apply. For example:
- £72 for a basic postal application
- £97 for a fast-track, one-week service
- £46 for a child's passport

So are being ripped off over here. I just paid R1800 for my son's. That is about £150.

Well hopefully he hasn't gone to Aus because obviously your comprehension skills are severely lacking.

Re: British Passports, how
Well acquiring a British passport often means emigrating. He surely only needs a visa to be a temporary resident. I'm lucky enough to have this stamp that allows me to work and live there for life if I wish to choose that option. It cost me $A300.

So why should he get a visa that only lasts for one year if he can get a passport?
At that price the visa is more than the passport anyway.

It's just a convenience so I can work there with impunity as I've already done before.

Because mine's effectively a visa, not a passport.
Statistics would suggest that Saffas aren't averse to emigrating to the motherland.

No, if Taipan's son is eligible for a passport it would figure that the motherland is the Old Dart. Even my seemingly limited comprehension skills can work that one out.JKLever wrote:Holland?

But there's no difference between the visa and the passport in this case except the passport gives him the right to work in the EU countries and he doesn't require visas for holiday purposes.
