What we have learned from this Test to date
1. we need to use the technology to review decisions.
2. Indian pitches are lifeless
3. fleas mode of dismissal - shuffling to off, angled bat and snicking behind was eerily reminiscent of his failures in England...to date he has scored 2 tons and a 60 on lifeless pitches...what will happen on a track with some juice and against a half decent seaming attack

Katich's batting is pure filth, but he does seem to have an ability to blunt the spinners on dead tracks.

Erm h, he's in India at the moment. Therefore if his method is effective in India, he appears to be in the right place.
Let's worry about SA and Eng after the series ay. His 66 in a 166 partnership was very valuable.

agreed - he made an important contribution...but his mode of dismissal against a military medium samosa tosser raised my eyebrows and reminded me of his technical deficiencies...what did you think about the dismissal

Re: What we have learned from this Test to date
1. We didn't score enough on a tame track
2. Maybe you don't need technology when the good and bad even out (I think zeddy did an article on it once)
3. Track will deteriorate (thank fark we don't have to bat last) and they have the superior spin firepower

Naturally I was disappointed at his dismissal (as was he). I was hoping to come on here today and gloat the fark out of you with Fleas having made his third ton in consecutive Tests.horace wrote:agreed - he made an important contribution...but his mode of dismissal against a military medium samosa tosser raised my eyebrows and reminded me of his technical deficiencies...what did you think about the dismissal
I think Sharma bowled a good spell after Tea and I think he is a little more than military medium. I thought Fleas looked very assured against both Jumbo and Bhajji. I feel safer with Fleas opening in these conditions than I do if it were Jaques opening.

Re: What we have learned from this Test to date
I would have enjoyed you having the opportunity to gloat - as of course i was barracking for fleas to make a ton...moreover I am concerned he will again drop chances in the field and cost us hundreds and end up in deficit!!
Disagree re Instant Kharma...I thought he was vin ordinaire (by the way do you know if RD's middle name is Vin - hahahaha)

Re: What we have learned from this Test to date
Katich when he gets a start usually occupies the crease for long periods therefore is perfect for Hayden Ponting and co. to bat around. He definitely got himself out flashing at the bouncing away swinger which could have been left alone. Otherwise he batted well and according to the game plan.
Perhaps he was trying to get on with it. His 66 was worth a hundred for helping Ponting back into form.

I think they may have learnt their lesson in WI. I think you'll find MtFTB, Punter and ShyTYT (and maybe Paris) in the slips with Pup in the Gully.horace wrote:I would have enjoyed you having the opportunity to gloat - as of course i was barracking for fleas to make a ton...moreover I am concerned he will again drop chances in the field and cost us hundreds and end up in deficit!!

Skully-asssume you have a sense of humour despite everything

"Follow the honey trail"(or could be the better road), horace? I'd feel like Woodward or Bernstein.
As to my avatar I'd given up too much personal info since the "Great Napster Jihad". to do it again.
