In this age of internet and the like, I can't imagine anyone in the world who doesn't at least vaguely know of him.

M Jordan was the most famous human being since Jesus Christ. So if Obama>Jordan then YES.

Fame and infamy are the same, just like flammable and inflammable. Adolf Hitler is almost certainly among the most famous human beings ever, though Jesus probably tops the list.

Josephus the famous historian of that era mentions a Jesus only once as a brother of James full stop.

The later Church added an infamous and very transparent fake paragraph usually known as the "insertion". Josephus was very meticulous in his lengthy descriptions of the times including the sacking of Jerusalem.

He does mention Christianity of course as one of the spawns deriving from the destruction of the Temple records.

You can't count mythological new Testament inventions.
