Why don't you click it and see?

Probably the same as "watch thread for replies" which - I believe - alerts you by e:mail if someone posts in a particular thread. But on a bigger scale. Perhaps you get alerted every time someone posts on the forum. Or maybe the posts turn up in your e:mail and you can reply via your e:mail and you never have to come here again.
