Brit makes Round 4 - Scot bows out
Yesterday at the open Andy M came a cropper in 5 sets to a journeyman..
Heard him after the game - seems a really good bloke...made no excuses (even tho he has a virus) and congratulated his opponent.
he said how much he had enjoyed the Open and the support he had received from fellow Scots waving the Scot national flag...no mention of those waving the union jack

really?.... I am surprised...he has not come over as moody or unpleasant - on the contrary...he also took yesterday's disappointing result as a good sport should

Those of you who care about AM's fortunes will be pleased to note that reaching Round 4 means he will get a boost of 145 points on the ATP ranking charts, given that he exited after Round 1 last time.

I'm sure it's been discussed, JKL, and I know you reside up Scotland way (I think), but isn't an Englishman supporting a Scot a bit like an Aussie supporting a Kiwi?JKLever wrote:You really are a prick aren't you?
Absolutely no winding up intended here. I worked with a Scot and he hated the English with a passion!!
