40 press-ups.... folllowed by
10 minutes batting/bowling practice. ....followed by
30 lunges.... followed by
2 sprint circuits round the boundary.
Job done : Ready to get shat on again.
I'll be watching horse racing from Doncaster, Kelso and Newton Abbot on TV tomorrow.... more fun, more joy, more excitement ...

Ooooh, be still my beating heart.
The thrills, the spills, the . . . er, unlikelihood that I'll bother.

I think Rashid would be crucified - if we're going to make a worthless sacrifice, let it be the player with the shortest future in the side.

And as we're on the subject, WIndian carpenters are building eleven of them in readiness for tomorrow!

If England manage to win tomorrow they may well have won he series as strike action for the 5th ODI is very much in the pipeline.

Then it would finish 2-2.
As series-winning scorelines go, I'd say that's a bit too level.

Forfeit would mean 3-2, right? Or playing against the 3rd string line-up?

Gazza Batty made a 'gritty' 17 the other day, and managed to avoid getting a bowl as well. He's a shoe-in.
I thought it was actually pretty poor captaincy from Strauss to not throw the ball to Batty early. Taking the pace off the ball, and all that....

Batty is a 100 percent platinum-plated shit "spin" bowler who hasn't the first idea of how to "slow" things down in international cricket.
Just a damn shame Swanny had to leave the tour, though WTF they persevere with Batty rather than experiment with the alternatives (Rashid) defies belief.
He can't be any worse than Batty, can he ?

To be worse than Batty Rashid would have to have an economy rate of over 5.5 and an average over 70.

Rashid probably wouldn't do very well. I'm torn between giving him a go to see what happens and wrapping him in cotton wool to keep him away from disaster zone England.

Maybe he should qualify to play for Pakistan then?

Nothing to lose by playing Rashid as those figures suggest. Batty will play though.

I'm quite worried about this actually. We are going to have to bat very well to get a decent total if Gayle gets out early.

That was plumb. The batsmen in this series have been so lucky with lbw's. Gayle just got a life, and Strauss had two during his century in the 2nd ODI.
