I'm with Sehwag too.
And 7 other Delhi players are backing him. They already skipped the opening day of Ranji camp for Delhi.
Backing Sehwag, 7 more players skip Delhi Ranji camp
Wonder what Sunil Dev will say now! He wanted an open Debate with Sehwag on TV as if Sehwag is as useless as him to have so much of spare time for this idiocy!
If any of you have some time, and want to know about the corruption in DDCA, just read this:

Now that Bhajji and Dhoni are also business partners and buying office space in partnership in Mumbai in premium real estates, I wonder just how much professional and how much friendship will allow Bhajji to keep on playing in the Indian team under Dhoni? And whether the personal equations will prevent Dhoni from dropping the non-performing star from the team?

Re: Indian Cricket v2.01
With Pawar controlling BCCI, the floodgates opened for cricket to be taken over by politcians and the game becoming a political arena. It was bad enough that in a bid for Muslim votes the bloody Congress gave a tainted guy like Azharuddin a chance to 'serve' the people by electing the crook to Parliament. Now the political compulsions have led them to demand that his life ban be scrapped and that possibly the matchfixing charges against him be also dropped. One thought that his life ban was a deterrent for players playing at highest level to desist from such criminal activities. Not only is he now an elected member of Parliament but also will soon be free to impose his will on Indian Cricket again. Given that Pawar is a political ally in Government with Congress and a partner in power, he will no doubt facilitate Azhar's wishes under pressure from Congress. Shame really!

Re: Indian Cricket v2.01
I never thought I would say this but I really hate Shiv Sena a lot now. I was an ardent admirer at the Sena that transformed Mumbai's infrastructure when they ruled with BJP and when they protested Congress votebank policies of encouraging illegal Bangladeshis. But this whole Raj vs Uddhav frag over 'Marathi Manoos' vs rest of India is just pathetic. No wonder they are losing elections everywhere now. The only reason third rate inefficient Congress power brokers are still in power are opposition like these fighting idiots holding Mumbai to ransom every second day. The story of the monkey [Congress] encouraging the two fighting cats [Uddhav and Raj] and eating the pie is so true.
Shiv Sena's tirade against Sachin Tendulkar probably takes the Party's image to it's lowest even among it's most ardent followers. Saying Sachin has not helped any Marathi player and Gavaskar has isd taking 2 iconic players and drowning both in the gutter at the same time. So the point is that Marathis should get preference not just in Maharashtra but all over India as well. So should sachin have promoted and helped marathi players in the team not on merit but because they were his friends?
Sachin Tendulkar has helped some of his loser friends like V. Kambli, S. Manjrekar, A. Agarkar, P. Mhambrey, J. Paranjape, S. Bahutule, N. Kulkarni, A. Kuruvilla, A. Salvi etc. to just name a few but thats a different argument for a different day for a different topic.
The point that SS is making is that players in Indian team should use their influence and favour their statements in team and merit and talent to actually get the place in team be damned.
Sad day indeed!

Re: Indian Cricket v2.01
The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Wednesday rewarded in-form pacer Ashish Nehra by offering him a Grade B annual contract, worth Rs 40 lakh.
The Delhi pacer, who made a fine comeback into the ODI squad after being in the wilderness, did not have a BCCI contract the previous year.
Irfan, currently playing in the Ranji Trophy for Baroda, was demoted to Grade C after being placed in Grade B in the previous period, while his brother, Yusuf, was retained in Grade C for the period of October 1, 2009, to September 30, 2010.
Uttar Pradesh pacer Praveen Kumar also benefited in the new contracts, announced by the BCCI for 40 players, as he got a boost from Grade C to Grade B.
The Board retained the same nine as last year in Grade A, which is worth Rs 60 lakh.
India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and champion batsman Sachin Tendulkar, in his 21st international season, were expectedly given Grade A contracts along with Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh.
Tamil Nadu batsman S Badrinath, who was surprisingly given a Grade B contract for the 2008-09 period despite having played only a few ODIs, was downgraded to Grade C.
The Board's Gradation Committee met recently to finalise the contracts, BCCI secretary N Srinivasan said.
Another player to benefit is Tamil Nadu wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik, upgraded from D to C, while leg-spinner Piyush Chawla got demoted to Grade D from C.
The lowest grade, comprising 17 players, has four new names: Mumbai pacer Dhawal Kulkarni, all-rounder Abhishek Nayar, batsman Ajinkya Rahane and Bengal batsman Manoj Tiwary.
The BCCI did not renew the contracts of Punjab pacer Manpreet Gony and Delhi leg spinner Chetanya Nanda.
The list:
Grade A (Rs 60 lakh): Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, V V S Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh.
Grade B (Rs 40 lakh): Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Munaf Patel, R P Singh, Ishant Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Ashish Nehra.
Grade C (Rs 25 lakh): S Badrinath, Wasim Jaffer, Yusuf Pathan, Pragyan Ojha, S Sreesanth, Dinesh Karthik and Amit Mishra, Irfan Pathan.
Grade D (Rs 15 lakh): Piyush Chawla, Ravindra Jadeja, Robin Uthappa, Parthiv Patel, Cheteshwar Pujara, Mohd Kaif, Virat Kohli, Ashok Dinda, Wridddhiman Saha, M Vijay, R Ashwin, Shikhar Dhawan, Sudeep Tyagi, Dhawal Kulkarni, Abhishek Nayar, Ajinkya Rahane and Manoj Tiwary.

Re: Indian Cricket v2.01
Quite baffling. Why is Parthiv in Grade D even since he has not played an international game for 3 years now with Karthick being the preferred 2nd choice WK behind Dhoni? Yuvraj and Bhajji in Grade A? What a joke. Yuvraj is inconsistant who has yet to justify faith reposed in him in test cricket and Bhajji has been a non-performer who should have been demoted as a wake up call. And what the hell is Kaif, another player who has not played any international game for a couple of years and who is out of favour doing in Grade D with the kids? Manoj Tiwari? Is he even in the mind of anyone these days? Piyush Chawla didn't get enough long rope to be hauled over coals and Irfan Pathan? Where can one start even? No one thinks he is worthy of team India anymore. The sorry business to turn him into an 'all rounder' has wrecked his career and now he is in Grade C cooling heels with his half brother despite being out of international cricket for over a long time now. The biggest joke is Nehra coming out of blue to play after 3 years and then being phased into Grade A immediately! This whole contract system is a sick joke and a comedy of errors.

Missed Jaffar completely. I guess he should be in Grade D anyways as standby since the only way he is ever playing a test is one from GG or Sehwag gets injured badly.

The best part was the parliamentary committee asking point blank to BCCI officers Manohar & Amin [on saying IPL was helping the cause of cricket] that how did having cheer leaders 'help' the cause of the game and why the players were being sold in auctions like Roman Gladiators.

Well guess it's swan-song for coach Kirsten bidding adieu after the WC. He has decided he will not renew his India contract after the WC. Sad he can't be persuaded to stay longer after all the good work but can't blame him, Our play schedules are too taxing for a guy to stay away so long from home and family.
India's loss may be SA's gain as they too will be looking at a new coach after WC and I am certain they will do everything possible to snap up home boy Kirsten.
