Oh Dear! Not your old school i hope?

I spent six months in Canberra back then and did some guest lecturing at Duntroon. A Kiwi cadet I knew swears on a stack of bibles the reason he went to league was because a) he was shithouse at Union and b) he was told if he kept playing Union in Canberra he wouldn,t live to see his 21st birthday.

a) He wasn't so much shithouse at Union as not as good as his ego thought he was.

b) I've heard similar stories to that, which also answers why he doesn't live there and why the Raiders weren't so sad to see him leave, and haven't offered him a coaching position either.

Mind you, the fact he's a shitful coach also has something to do with that.
