Re: The Ashes '16'
Maybe Sid has been given the cover name "Solanki" and pretend-loaned to Worcs, to fool the Aussies.

I'm glad that Vaughan and Harmison weren't picked in the 16. They simply didn't deserve it. As has been mentioned, i'm not sure about Onions and Rashid playing for the Lions, though.

Any chance of Sussex and the Lions doing England a favour and gifting Bung a Michelle or two to play him into the T1 side? Ugh, please don't let him get picked.

Re: The Ashes '16'
Sussex will. Assuming Prior doesn't play, they don't have a strong batting line-up at all.
And the Lions - perhaps hoping to play Lee into the side - have picked a laughably weak batting line-up for their game too. Especially when you consider that the bowling attack they've gone with all have Test/international experience.

Re: The Ashes '16'
Amazingly, Sussex have sold 20,000 tickets for this game.
Squad is as follows...
WAT Beer, RJ Hamilton-Brown, AJ Hodd, CD Hopkinson, EC Joyce, RJ Kirtley, RSC
Martin-Jenkins, CD Nash, OP Rayner, PSE Sandri, LJ Wright and MH Yardy (c).
Looks piss-weak bowling but it's debatable whether the England Lions batting is stronger.

I hope WAT Beer has a decent game. I tipped this lad long ago. Fingers crossed.

Probably difficult to judge when you've got your face pressed up against the shop window.

Yeah, well being in uni digs and sharing a TV with other people, its not always easy to get time to sit down and watch the cricket.
I do have Sky in my real house, but again Cricket isn't the main showing.
Nobody I know apart from maybe my parents, even remotely enjoy cricket. Rugby and Football fans galore.

Re: The Ashes '16'
Well, I don't make the rules but people switch off when I mention anything involved in Cricket.
Evening mentioning the Cardiff Test match gets people frustrated....and thats OUTSIDE flamingbails .
Unfortunately, some of them enjoy T20...FML.

As an aside, Cricinfo All Time XIs; They've got Mark Waugh as a candidate, that's some kind of sick joke, no?

Prolly not spang ... they'd need a bookies runner in the side.

So far so good from Sussex.
Knock over the top order, and then get the pies out to play Lee and Hauritz into the Ashes lineup on the strength of their batting.

No wonder they left Harmless out of the 16

Passports? I don't think training in the Brecon Beacons with the SAS, warrants the use of a passport...
