EU19 Squad to play Bangladesh

Jonathan Bairstow* (Yorkshire)
Scott Borthwick* (Durham)
Danny Briggs (Hampshire)
Nathan Buck (Leicestershire)
Joseph Buttler (Somerset)
Josh Cobb (Leicestershire)
Jaik Mickleburgh* (Essex)
Sam Northeast* (Kent)
Thomas Poynton* (Derbyshire, wicketkeeper)
Azeem Rafiq (Yorkshire)
Hamza Riazuddin* (Hampshire, captain)
James Taylor (Leicestershire)
James Vince (Hampshire)
Chris Wood* (Hampshire)

Second Test:

Luke Wells (Sussex)
David Willey (Northamptonshire)

The decisionto pilot a selection process this season, which allows any Under-19s player in their county’s first XI to remain with the county, will mean
that the players highlighted (*) will play county first XI cricket.

Don't know too much about many of them although Freddie on his 'one for the future' on Skys graphic had James Vince down as one to watch.

Sam Northeast has filled in a few times this season for Key or Denly. He did pretty well against Glamorgan scoring 87. I know it was against Glamorgan but he was the only guy in the top order to do anything.

Didn't Borthwick take a catch as a sub fielder during the Windies Test series?

Borthwick is a leg spinner. Should go well alongside Rafiq.

Riazuddin is a FM bowling all rounder.

And, like you say, James Vince has had the talk up of late - Duncan Fletcher says he's like Michael Vaughan.

Balding and with a dicky knee...

I enjoy a good leg spin. I'll keep an eye on him.
