A few days before your exam you break up with your girl friend, the next day you get in to an accident and a fight but still manage to get a B on the exam. I am sure you will cherish that B a LOT more than any of your As on good days.

i am trying to explain why B Lee is really excited about THIS particular performance.

I would suspect it's because he's a bit of a tool, really. No other explanation necessary.

It's gonna be really funny seeing the Lee promotional team (ie himself and the entire NSW media) convince the Australian selectors to push a far more deserving bowler like Siddle or Hilfenhaus out of the test side in November because of his "outstanding and impossible to ignore" ODI form.
