Also interesting that Australia, as the No 1 ranked JAMODI side doesn't get a single player in the JAMODITOTY.

There's only 2 players in that side who will appear in the ICCCT semis

The attack for the test team of the year looks a bit suspect. Dhoni captain ahead of Strauss.

So? For most of the period this "team" was picked from, SA was no 1 and we don't have any either.

I don't think it's been a great year in terms of quality - we've had some exciting cricket (the Ashes) and some very dull cricket (WI playing 8 batsmen and 3 bowlers on a road to defend a series lead...) but not too many players have really stood out consistently - players who have looked great in one series/match/session have looked crap the rest of the time!

There were a few complaints about Strauss' captaincy but they may have been for JAMODIs. I can't remember.

Dear God in Heaven and FMD, I hadn't seen or heard anything about this until the News tonight.

A good Test in Perth (though couldn't bowl us to victory) v Saffies, then a couple of good bowling performances and a couple of tonks that came off v Saffies in Yarptown, and that rates him the best player in the World???

As RD said, could put it together in the contest that really mattered.

I repeat - FMD. Shocked
