Much better than istantly and angrily replying as I once did to my Boss. Much more time to think it through. My Boss fortunately realised she was out of line and drove down from Darwin to apologise in person. But for awhile there I was cursing whoever thought up the internet.

I once e-mailed my wife complaining, in very graphic language, about a very dull meeting I'd just sat through. Unfortunately I accidently hit the "send to all colleagues" tab.
"All colleagues" includes my boss, who'd just chaired the meeting in question.

I wasn't around for any of the action but laughed my head off the next day when the penny dropped. One of the funniest things I've ever seen happen on a forum

And all it took were the words "do your worst" to a Zat post (after I announced my dilemma).

Kudos to him, Pete and others for a few hours of mayhem. I think I got over 200 notifications of new threads in my Inbox that afternoon.

Righto Dan. This is how it went down.

There is a setting in FB where you can arrange to have a notification sent to your personal email address anytime a new thread is created. I somehow inadvertently set this feature to "on". So every time someone started a new thread I got an email.

I foolishly announced it on the forum and asked for help in undoing the setting (had NFI). Zat then posted something along the lines of "you do realise what this means?" and I posted "do your worst".

For the next 2 hours or so, Zat and his posse posted new threads, largely with a "skully" theme of some sort, and each time they did, I received a notification email in my personal Inbox. It got up to about 200 emails before I was put out my misery by, of all people, tac, who informed me how to turn the setting off.

It was all good fun and provided numerous FBers with some mirth.
