Why do you need bugs if you've got muddies?

OK! Prawns and muddies and fresh salad. As a picnic by the river, with a sav blanc and bugs (if you're that anal) a duck shot the day before (not magpie goose, the most over rated game in history) and stuffed with some wild herbs.

And of course pav.

When my folks were still with us, it was the full monty. Roast Goose, pickled pork, baked vegies & all the trimmings followed by traditional Christmas Pud & a Pav. Did'nt matter how hot it was, Christmas was pretty traditional in those days. drool

These days its just BBQ Turkey steaks & a salad although i do break into my special stock of vintage wines. aces

It's the only time I really miss eating meat. Mostly cos of the turkey, stuffing, pickled onion (little white ones) and mayonnaise sandwiches. There's no replacement for that.

Yeah if it was a string hammock you'd want to be absolutely sure of finding the right hole.

Sounds like it'd be a bit of a "strain" on your partner's @rse/back/knees. Mad

Talk about digressing! Leaving aside your Aussie penchant for making life difficult for yourselves in the bedroom, what are bugs, muddies and pav?
They don't sound particularly appetizing, but I know you have some cracking scran down under so I assume it's not some grim bush tucker..

Muddies - Mud crabs...

Pav is a pavlova - a distinctly Aussie desert...

Cheers, Skull! I could have guessed at the Pavlova, but the other two are new to me. I'd happily scoff all of those, but not on my Chrimbo menu!

Pavlova is New Zealandish.

It's a sad day when Aussies are trying to ape the sheep molesters' cultural offerings...
