This place is not dead

So PLEASE shut the f*ck up.

Yes, we may be having a month where our post count is lower than it normally is, but compared to other forums which are deemed active, it is still a more than healthy total. We don't need threads pointing out the post count or trying to make the post count higher, it's f*cking pointless.

I imagine most people come here to talk about cricket, and seeing as we have formed some sort of a community, we also talk about off topic stuff as well, which is all great, but the threads saying "OMFG this place is dead" (despite having literally thousands more posts than other forums I frequent which are deemed active) are totally self-defeating and do NOTHING to attract new forummers, which is surely what the people starting the threads want?

And yet we still have people starting "lets just post crap to get the post count up!" whilst calling new forummers qunts just a few posts later.

This isn't a competition to get the highest post count per month, and when the forum is totally healthy with it's current post count, why don't we try and be novel and actually encourage relevant discussion, and when we have a lull, f*ck it, we have a lull. New users, which ultimately are the only thing that will increase the post count significantly (and like I said, it's really not important seeing as we do just fine), are not going to be attracted to a forum where there are multiple threads literally encouraging people to post whatever shit they want just to get the post count up.

Whatever the naysayers come up with, this is still a decent place to discuss cricket and other things as well, complaining about not having x amount of posts does nothing, and the only thing that will TRULY cause the death of this forum is if people are only concerned with boosting a f*cking meaningless post count and the actual threads of interest are lost within the garbage, which seems to be what is happening lately.
