Re: Pakistan vs Tasmania...
Kamran was very good in the recent series, in the 1st test he had a MASSIVE partnership with his brother. In the 2nd test he did quite well too by scoring 70(?) in a low scoring game and in the final test he scored 50* to save the match/series.

btw the catch was taken by Misbah at 1st slip which should seal Misbah's place for the boxing day test.

Re: Pakistan vs Tasmania...
Tasmania 193 all out.
Pakistan 269 runs ahead with 10 wickets in hand.
This is probably one of the most dominating performances I've seen in recent times by a touring side in the opening match of an Australia tour. Usually, most teams take time to 'acclimatise' and don't produce the goods until the latter part of the series (bar possibly India and SAF). Pakistan have seemingly settled in quickly, which bodes well for the Test series. I do understand that Pakistan might collapse at any point, so I'm typing this with baited breath.

Umar Akmal batting at a SR of almost 100...now thats more like it.
Smerky, i think the pitch at Hobart doesn't have much bounce and pace PLUS the tour of NZ must have helped a bit

Aye, makes sense. Still a very convincing performance by the Pakistani's. The ball's in their court now; do they run with it and trounce the Aussies and the arrogant media or do they play conservative with defensive intent, and get rolled.
What's it going to be Pakistan?

In an era of constantly undercooked teams and condensed tours Pakistan have actually prepared well by having a 1950s style warm-up by playing against New Zealand.
I think Australia will be slightly too good for Pakistan, but they'll never have a better chance to win a series there.
Unless they go and spoil it all by doing something stupid and picking Sami.
