MoYo signs his death warrant
The IPL will be lining up a hitman to take him out.
Cricinfo article
Couple of salient bits:
Cricinfo article
Couple of salient bits:
Mohammad Yousuf has issued a stark warning of the impending dangers of too much Twenty20 cricket, insisting that it is "necessary" that Pakistan plays as little of the format as possible. Otherwise, the Pakistan captain told Cricinfo, he believes the format will "finish Pakistan's cricket."
in 14 Test innings now, they have crossed 350 only twice.
As in Melbourne, a number of batsmen have settled in, before getting themselves out. The failure, Yousuf believes, comes from Twenty20 cricket.
"It [batting failures] used to happen before but now because of Twenty20 cricket no player knows how to stay at the wicket anymore," Yousuf told Cricinfo. "Batsmen are finding it very difficult. I know the format has money, players get it and boards do but if Pakistan hypes up Twenty20 too much, Test and ODI cricket will really go down."

he's just making excuses for his loss.
stupid fellow. He needs to be a man and acknowledge the lack of an effective domestic cricket infra capable of forging new test-level batsmen.

It's ironic that he says this considering that he abandoned Pakistan to play in the ICL.

And Pakistan didn't play in the IPL. They just have crap batsmen, and T20 or no T20, thats not going to change.

Still - it's a bit more original than blaming the umpires, the pitches, the playing schedule, the little green men from Mars, or all or some combination of the above, which is all we'd have heard from Banindia by now.

He is right, most of our bats can't play a patient long innings, the concentration levels are appalling, even young Umar Akmal is a 80+ s/r batsman or out for nothing.
Is 20/20 to blame for this? i don't know, the last test standard bat that has come out of Pak has been YK. I know batting hasn't been Pak's strongest suite but we always produced test bats, eg Anwar, Sohail, Ijaz, Inzi etc. Now it's just stopped.

Guess who whinged about the Mumbai pitch circa 2004? And when was the last time Indian players complained about schedules or iteneries when we visited someone? Of late, one has heard all kinds of sound bites from the Aus captain about schedules, iteneries and about everything here and there.....

In answer to your usual-standard stupid questions:
a) Why would anybody give a camels about Mumbai 04 - the game was a dead rubber and your mob had already well and truly had their arses tanned. There was no point setting a trap for Australia. They must have had some other target in mind, and as per usual they ballsed up.
b) Couldn't help notice your improved shot selection Batters, letting the umps and pitches go through - you might be actually learning something, at last. But wasn't it your crowd about 10 years ago who were offered an extra warm-up game but knocked it back for the sake of some one-day junket back home - and then tried to make out it was our fault.
And WTF is an 'itenerie' in any case?

Thank you, your automatic anti-Australian diatribe has been noted. Now please go back to the room where Henry and Bucky play.Batman wrote:Fred Nerk wrote:Still - it's a bit more original than blaming the umpires, the pitches, the playing schedule, the little green men from Mars, or all or some combination of the above, which is all we'd have heard from Banindia by now.

Ooh! So an Aus captain can make all the noise about pitches in a 'dead rubber', but an Indian captain can't when a series is alive? Are there different standards for whinging if it involves Australian players or cricket board in different situations? As in how Aus players can accuse Pak players of being in league with bookies when their own shady adventures with the same set of bookies are covered up both by the players and their cricket board themselves? Is that how Aussies players and their fans claim high moral grounds by selectively whinging about selective things and then accuse others of the same? You use selective information yourself, anything that helps point a finger at India of something but you guys can't handle a finger back without whinging about 'dead rubbers' and 'Anti-Aus diatribe'? Just like your drunk cricket captain, can dish out but can't take back! You guys are some piece of work alright!
Just beautiful.

Back on the topic, is there anything that Yousuf has said that hasn't been known before? Regarding how T20 cricket will finish the glorious 5 day game in the long run?

Of course India never whinges.
I think their best non-whinge was about the size of hotel rooms in England.
Please feel free to post your best non-whinges. Bucknor doesn't count because that has become a generic non-whinge.

They certainly didn't whinge about a very weak England side bowling outside Tendulkar's legs and refusing to allow him to smash their non-existent bowling attack around the park. No whinge there.

Re: MoYo signs his death warrant
Of course it's all India's fault. It's our fault that fat English batsmen become unfit for a test after eating Indian food and prawns. If a team loses 3-0 in India it's all the fault of our dust bowls and our prawns. It's all our fault! Is there anything new you guys want to talk about or do you want to continue the 'anti-India diatribe'?
Next?
