If you check the facts you will find out that he did. From memory it was in an ODI against England and that is when Arjuna blew his top. Mu-Mu was no balled for his off spinner then started bowling leggies and was again no balled.tac wrote:Josh Carney wrote:Didn't one of the Aussie umps (Emerson ?) no-ball his leggie as a chuck ?Zat wrote:So he's only going to bowl his leggies then...?Josh Carney wrote:Nice prelude to the sort of responses that will flood this forum when Mu-Mu actually bowls in the test.

From memory? More like from imagination . . . he was chucking his offies, and then bowled his wrong-un which was a chuck as well.

I like the bit . . .
On that occasion in 1996, Emerson called Muralitharan when he was bowling leg-spinners. And anybody with any knowledge of cricket would be aware that you cannot throw a leg-break.
So if he bends his arm on his offie but not his leggie, he must be chucking his offie? Emerson was therefore calling him retrospectively.

Josh
MuMu did get called when bowling a leg break , probably by Emerson , and it may have been a premeditated call or he may have thought he chucked it .
It was one leggie in an over of his normal pings ...
Nice biased reporting in the article you linked ...

No dramas h. TBH, Ponting may have been saying one thing & Hilditch another. As I said somewhere else - all this pre-game fluff is just so much navel lint.
