Re: Cycling
Marco Canola won stage 13 after the peleton failed to chase down the early breakaway. They were possibly hindered by the thick hail which fell about 30km from the finish. No change to the GC.

Re: Cycling
Evans gained 5 seconds on Uran on the summit finish. Todays stage is another mountain section. Should get a clearer picture as to who the true contenders are for the podium.

The second TT looks brutal.

Re: Cycling
Uran's climbing is significantly worse than last year. Maybe that explains his time trialing. No way should he be behind Evans on climbs.

Re: Cycling
Or maybe not..... don't know anything these days. Evans has lost the Giro though. Aru and Quintana seem the main threats now.

Quintana finally wins, and massively. Evans not finishing top 5 now.

Aye. Hard to see anyone heading Quintana to Trieste.

Re: Cycling
Incredible ride by Rogers to take the Monte Zoncolan stage.
Bad luck for Bongiorno who was with Rogers near the end when he was pushed by a fan & lost his footing.

Re: Cycling
Looks like Wiggins is well & truly yesterdays man. Dropped from the Sky TdF team so they can concentrate on Froome.

No, been doing rather well this year. Not Froome's buddy though, even though Froome could use his help.

Re: Cycling
Froome is looking in ominous form for the TdF. He leads the Dauphine, taking the second stage even without the help of Porte & outsprinting Contador to the line.
He is going to start a very short odds favorite for back to back wins.

Re: Cycling
Only just caught up with the finish of the Dauphine. Fantastic final stage. Froome & Contador went toe to toe with Froome failing badly. A breakaway group headed by Talansky took control & despite an enormous charge by Contador, he could'nt make up the difference. Talansky wins, Contador second, Froome not even in the top ten.

Re: Cycling
Contador's excuse for getting caught...
Froome lost form only after a crash (think he rode over a pothole in a descent). Should be good come the tour. Also Sky should trust Nieve more than Porte given their recent form, and similar pedigree.
Edit: just saw taips has already posted it.
