I don't think SRT will catch Sunny.

Merchant has best rate (3.33) of scoring tons/match and average (almost 72). He also scored most double hundreds (11).

Wadekar is the surprise in that list I think. Reading of him, never sounded like he was as good as the best India has produced.

He has the worst rate of scoring tons in that list.

Ganguly has scored 28 tons in 222 FC matches.

SG, I checked Laxman's FC record in Cricinfo, and it says he has 42 tons in 193 matches.

interestingly tendulkar is the only one on that list with more test matches than non-test FC matches (140 vs 99). sign of things to come with the crowded international calendar? a regular indian team player hardly plays any FC cricket nowadays

Pretty sure Ponting is the same.

I'm sure likes of Hayden and Langer would've played more FC matches than test matches.

I read somewhere that he is only Indian cricketer to hit tons on debut in each of India's 3 premier FC trophies, Ranji, Irani and Duleep trophy.

Chawla probably. The Sharmas had played quite a few, all three of them.

sadly his test dropping came a few series too late

the only way to up your FC count is to play english county cricket. the indian FC season overlaps with the test season of 8-9 countries so no hope of playing ranji for a regular
