The whatever's left of the 2010 IPL thread
(can't be bothered setting up match-threads for every game)
Re: The whatever's left of the 2010 IPL thread
Dave Warner smashed a century
.... and Dave Hussey took a catch on the boundary that is worth watching again. At his first attempt he pushed it back up in the air but it went over the boundary, so he knocked it back into the field of play & dived back in to catch it at the third attempt.

From Cricinfo;-
19.2
Langeveldt to Collingwood, OUT, Hussey's pulled off a ripper! Collingwood hit it flat to the long-on boundary, Hussey was on the rope, he parried the ball over the boundary, then leapt back and while in the air hit the ball back into play, then he jumped back in and while in the air again grabbed the catch with one hand, he made sure he didn;t hit the ball too far back into play, that was the key, stunning effort
PD Collingwood c Hussey b Langeveldt 53 (45b 3x4 2x6) SR: 117.77

some good catches this tourney. AB pulled off a stunner the other day, yusufs caught and bowled was pretty decent and sachin showed some good reflexes at slip to take gilly yesterday.

Given the dwindling numbers, might be worth just having an IPL stickied thread on the main forum and culling this section. Just a thought, would probably get more posts too.

was the right decision in the end. warner was lucky that he was called back when he was just 5 metres from the boundary ropes

Lethargy set in over so many matches?
Pleased my adopted team, Gilchrist's Deccans, scraped to semis landing on their feet in second place! Doubt they'll win, think Dhoni's Chennai's will stump out Tendy's Mumbaians in the final.
