And where to for Liverpool? Are they rooted?

Link to article

Figures released last week revealed that the club’s debt stands at £350 million after losses of £55 million during the last financial year.

With Liverpool’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League likely to hit the club’s financial situation further, the future appears uncertain, with Hicks and Gillett wanting to sell the club.

Aye, shame. At least they put up a better show than the Boro did.

Fulham played some decent football, but sadly played up to the plucky English loser tag.

Speaking of weird Brazillians - was Ronaldinho really not good enough to make Brazil's WC squad? Shocked

He will only play if David Seaman is in the England team cos he wants to lob Seaman from 40 yards again.

....... but I guess it's one of those things that becomes more difficult as you get older.

Good point, add Rio in and is that the most hate inducing back line England have ever fielded? Just need Gaz Neveille at right back I suppose

Both teams had chances, couldn't believe how Chelsea couldn't score until Drogba finally did.

Really? Thought it was a pretty good final...

I'm finding it absolutely hilarious that Ballack is now going to miss the world cup, seeing as he should have been sent off before the tackle.

Well, I was dozing, vilks. It was on from midnight to 2.00 am, so I may have missed the good bits. I actually missed Drogba's free kick, but caught it on replay.

NOt half as much as the Aussie team is finding it, given that we're in the same group as the Krauts.

Fabregas has put in a transfer request - Barca apparently "want" him.
Bugger .... though I suspect Wenger will let him go, but only at a price which hopefully swells the coffers sufficiently to splash out on a top replacement.

But who?

Yep.

Barca are currently on the verge of a big money signing of David Villa doubt they will be splashing out on another big name this season. He will eventually leave for them but i think he'll stay on at the Arse for another season.

The Arsenal captaincy seems to have been a bit of a poisoned chalice for them in recent years. The last long term successful captain they had was Vierra and even he left so before that it's Tony Adams.
