9-234 off their 50.
Should easily be enough. But their bowlers are not the pride of Dhaka.

Like G Wood in his distinctive way, Ireland are making a decent fist of it.
60-0 in 10th.
But then they often get off to a good start.

Ok, i'm gonna say it- Ireland are a better team than Bangladesh. Pure and simple.

Porterfield secures his ton, and appears to be leading his team to success.
Well done him.

Dies at 209 off 38.
Ireland have 26 to get off 12, with 8 wkts left.
SHOULD be an absolute cakewalk.

Ireland canter it, despite a late collapse of two wickets.

They are in ODI's on their own club pitches for sure, Ireland made Australia sweat earlier this season.

I think Ireland would usually beat Bangladesh at home, but Bangladesh would usually beat Ireland at home too.
Stick Joyce and Morgan back in that Ireland team though and i'd fancy Ireland to win more than they'd lose over a series in both countries.
Re: Ireland v BD, 1st ODI, Belfast, July 15, 2010
A Combined Team and you would have a half decent side:
Tamim Iqbal
Porterfield
Joyce*
Siddique
Morgan
Al Hasan
Cusack
Rahim+
Mortaza
Johnston
Rankin

Well Joyce is going to start playing for them again soon. I've heard that the ECB have talked to Boyd Rankin in regards to him qualifying for England, but I think he might be a little short of that class, tbh.

So, Ireland for Test status then on the basis of that win? Bangladesh had accomplished about as much when promoted.

Their latest effort would fly in the face of that statement.
