Nope, i assume it's a money issue.
The rights for india vs pakistan would go for a much higher price than most other series.

Yep, money rules everywhere.
I in India, feel so fortunate to witness all sporting action (not just cricket) played around the globe at dirt cheap price (just 3 US$ per month)

Re: India v Pakistan, 1st Test, Delhi, 22-26 Nov
New Delhi, Nov 20 (PTI) India received a severe jolt ahead of the first cricket Test against Pakistan with the pace duo of R P Singh and S Sreesanth ruled out of the tie with injuries.
BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah said in a statement that paceman Munaf Patel had been called in as cover.
While the BCCI statement does not specify what was wrong with R P Singh (side strain), Sreesanth is nursing a shoulder injury he picked up in Jaipur and the Kerala speedster did not take part in today's net sessions.
The side, however, can take heart from the fact that stumper and one day skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is showing signs of improvement after he had twisted his ankle while batting in the fifth and final one dayer at Jaipur.
"Well, though it has not healed yet and there is slight pain, I think it's getting okay and I did not have much trouble," Dhoni told PTI after the nets.
Dhoni did not look in any sort of discomfort as fielding coach Robin Singh engaged him in some catching practice with Wasim Jaffer being the pitcher.
Earlier, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman were also seen doing similar drills with Dhoni offering the catches.
The Indian squad, under new captain Anil Kumble, arrived at the Ferozeshah Kotla in the afternoon for their practice session. While most of the team members headed for the nets in the adjoining practice arena, Kumble and his spin colleague Harbhajan Singh walked down the Kotla pitch and rolled their arms with bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad behind the stumps.
It was Kumble's return to his happy hunting ground. At the same venue, and against the same opponent in 1999, the leg-spinner had claimed all 10 wickets in an innings to emulate Jim Laker. PTI

Why ... don't you have faith in Munaf Patel ??
Re: India v Pakistan, 1st Test, Delhi, 22-26 Nov

Commaaaawn...a Munaf can run through the pakistani side. Irfan in current form can't. Munaf should be charged up...which is a big if...and bowl as if he is in his first test match and desperate to prove a point.
If he gets into one of his 'moods'...then it could be as well 'finish' for his career.
Re: India v Pakistan, 1st Test, Delhi, 22-26 Nov
i meant have a 5 man attack with pathan in as the allrounder. given his track record, i dont trust munaf as part of a 4 man attack with only 1 other pacer

So what would be India's attack now?
Zaheer
Munaf
Kumble
Bhajji
Don't think this attack would trouble 2 Ys much.

I think it's $6 if you already have the sports package (Fox sports 1, 2 and 3 and ESPN)

$3 a month for all sporting action including footy, cricket, tennis, boxing? Are you serious?
That's ridiculous. Which channel is that?

Three bucks = approx Rs 120, which is the going rate I think.
India is a low price market. First rule for MNCs.

Wouldn't be worth it otherwise but it is good timing.
Just have to cut it off 48 hours before the new month so they don't charge the credit card for the next month.

Its not one channel which is showing all the sporting action in India. There are actually several channels, like Ten Sports, Star Sports, Star Cricket, ESPN, Neo Sports, DD Sports, Zee Sports, etc.
All these channels ensure that I don't miss any sporting action.

So its official now.
Kumble has asked Yuvraj to wait for his turn which means he won't be playing this test atleast. VVS is being preferred over him, which I think is the right decision.

VVS did deserve this chance, though him and Ganguly must be skating on very thin ice atm.
Meanwhile Munaf and Ishant Sharma have been drafted in the squad in place of injured Sree and RPS. Its also more or less certain that Bhajji would partner Kumble as India's second spinner for this test which means that India's starting lineup for this test would be,
Karthik
Jaffer
Dravid
Tendulkar
VVS
Ganguly
Dhoni+
Zaheer
Kumble*
Bhajji
Munaf

Kaneria targets Tendulkar scalp
Pakistan leg-spinner Danish Kaneria said he will target all India's batsmen in the forthcoming Test series but getting the wicket that has eluded him so far -- Sachin Tendulkar -- would be a dream.
"I have not dismissed Tendulkar and perhaps this will be the last time I will be up against him so I wish to get his wicket," Kaneria told AFP before leaving for India on Monday.
Kaneria, 26, said playing against India was always a tough challenge.
"India pose one of the biggest challenges for us, and playing against them in their own backyard is more challenging because they have world class batsmen like Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and many others," he said.
The bubbly spinner has grabbed 31 wickets against India in eight Tests but has yet to dismiss Tendulkar.
"He (Tendulkar) is a master and I came close to dismissing him in the 2005 series at Mohali. I thought it was a bat-pad but the umpire thought otherwise and his wicket eluded me.
"The world knows how good a batsman Tendulkar is and it would be like an empty cupboard without his wicket so the first thing in all the innings would be to get his wicket and it's always the key."
Kaneria said he would target all Indian batsmen with the ploy he usually unfolds against the archrivals.
"Since you know Indians play leg-spin, well, you have to use a different ploy against them so I have that in my mind and I want to play my part as the main bowler and help Pakistan win the series," said Kaneria, only the second Hindu behind Anil Dalpat to play for Pakistan.
Kaneria said scoring big would be the key to victory.
"Since they have a very deep batting line-up the opposition needs to score big and then only you can pressurise India. If we score big then we can attack them like we did against them at Bangalore in 2005," said Kaneria, who has 208 wickets in 48 Tests.
