Re: So it's 9/11 again
I was in Oxford, a friend mentioned to me what happened and at first it didn't really sink in and I wasn't aware of the serious of it. Walked past a Curry's and a huge group of people were gathered round the TV's and when I saw the pictures the magnitude of it started to sink in. Went home and turned on the TV and saw the second plane crash live, seemed almost surreal.

Re: So it's 9/11 again
I was watching the late news, when towards the end of the bulletin they had breaking news that a plane had crashed into the world trade centre. At first it was thought to be a light plane, but I then saw the second plane crash into the other tower live and ended up staying up all night watching the news develop.
The next day at work a lot of people thought that world war III was really about to break out.

I was at school.
I can honestly say that once I got home and heard the news I thought that America as a country deserved it. It is disgusting that civilians were killed though. I feel the same about the London bombings. How many more civilians have been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq though?!

I was at work - had just got back from lunch. Nothing got done that afternoon - we were all transfixed by what we saw on the television

Aye. It happened after 11.00 pm Eastern Aus time and I was sleeping. Got up the next morning and the wireless and TV were in meltdown mode when I turned them on.Mick Sawyer wrote:I slept through the lot.

I don't watch television in the morning & for some weird reason I didn't hear a radio so I got to work with nfi. (Situation normal, some would say)
