Podge really is a boring t!t.
Podge's latest rant
Apologies if the video won't play outside Aus but it basically consists on Brad "The Bogan" Hodge bigging himself up and maintaining the lone voice (other than his Mum) that at 36 he deserves to be in the Aus ODI side.
I did say last week that he's going as well as anyone, but man he can make a d!ck of himself.

Re: Podge really is a boring t!t.
See the problem is Nath, that from the moment he was dropped from the Aus side, he (and his Mum FFS) have not stopped whinging about it. Does he think at 36 that the stubborn NSP is suddenly gonna say "now we've ignored that t!t Podge's whining for 4 years, maybe we should start listening now"?

Re: Podge really is a boring t!t.
He was whining last week about Hildick having deleted his phone number. I've heard from many that he's a prick of a guy and obviously hasn't endeared himself to Punter and co. Obviously also it would be a retrograde step to reinstate him now. Having said that though, he must look at the continued selection of Nought and others as an injustice.

Can't disagree with anything you've said in this post, Red.Red wrote:He was whining last week about Hildick having deleted his phone number. Re: Podge really is a boring t!t.
hodge is not serious about selection ...he has been making jokes about the NSP ffs - admittedly they are not the best jokes - but they are pretty much out there...he is more at risk of being suspended by CA for being disrespectful to Hidlegarde...
btw the stoopid dubbers have been the ones seriously campaigning for their places...bung/haddit/clarke have all been noisy in the media about their future in the Oz team...mind you the hon spiv - Mr Snicket - has been the loudest
you have to love spin in the media...twice this weekend I heard that Australia lost their one jamodi v the Bannies "despite the century scored by Michael Clarke"
not that anyone gives a hoot either way but a credible case can be made that Australia lost that match because of the Clarke century and the inordinate amount of time it took.

If you crossed Pidge and Podge, what would you get?
Answer: A bloody crosspatch, with a mouth like a sewer and of average height.

podge has been enjoying himself hugely at the NSPs expense...have not heard him sound cross at all - more the opposite he is happy and relaxed and no longer gives a hoot

Aye, but 66 and a bit of those votes were traced back to "Mrs Grendelsmum Hodge"

Re: Podge really is a boring t!t.
Hodge is just trying to position himself as 'outspoken' and 'controversial', perhaps with a future career in the media in mind.
FWIW, I think he was unlucky to be dropped by Australia when he was in 2006. He deserved to go on that tour of South Africa. He DID score a double century just 2 tests before he was dropped. When you see how many chances Marcus North has got in comparison, it does seem unfair on Hodge, but 4 1/2 years later he needs to move on. He probably, just quietly, has.

Maybe he's looking to be the future version of Neil Harveym and be an ex-cricketer the press can turn to when they need someone to bitch about 'the state of the game today...'

VB is just the latest from a very impressive stable: Harvey, Yallop, Jones, Hodge. Maybe even Simon O'Donnell?

Except Harvey was actually a very good batsman for Australia.

The other 3 all managed at least one Test double century ...and all felt the selectors took their personality (or lack thereof) as an influence in ignoring them
