Definitely quieter than in 2006/07.

In other words, they're arseholes. They're quite happy to watch their team do well, but want to f*ck up the enjoyment of opposition spectators when England are struggling.

They should all be put on a nuclear submarine, despatched to under the artic ice pack, and then let the reactor spring a leak. And even that's too good for them.

They'll swell in numbers and get louder when the ashes comes to Melbourne and Sydney.

I notice they hav'nt been singing "we get three dollars to the pound" this time..

Still, I'd rather be them than Aussie supporters at the moment. Life must be pretty grouse for them at the moment. Good luck to 'em.

Why not bring back neutron shell technology in that case? Annihilate the personnel in an anti-de-escalating maneuver, without causing collateral damage.

The kind of abuse they dish out is just occasionally amusing, but mostly plain offensive I suppose. To be fair to them though, it's not much worse than the onfield sledging is it?

When I was at The Oval in 2001, watching Steve Waugh batter the England attack in the raging London heat, everyone around me was discussing the football.

Same happened 7 years later in Edgbaston.

The Barmy Army are likely made up of members from different football firms.

If you take a close look at the barmies, a lot of them are wearing football tops.

Some of them probably think they ARE at a football match.

I like the Barmy Army.

I wish there was more singing and chanting at cricket matches.

Having said that, I've only experienced them when England are losing.

They might be insufferable come Sydney if England have wrapped up the Ashes by then.
