Looks set to play tonight.

Imagine the army could construct something similar for Morkel after yesterday's horror show.

They used to get under Murali's skin too.

Must admit, I admire international cricketers who can actually ignore the barbs.

I think I've mentioned it previously, but I was at a ODD game at North Sydney and the boys in the old Bob Stand were pissed and absolutely giving it to Stuart MacGill on the fence at Fine Leg, including lots of very unnecessary stuff about his wife, Rachel Friend. I was embarrassed for the poor bugger, such was the hostility from sections of his own home crowd.

Albie Morkel copped it from the MCG patrons at an ODI during the last tour. As did Vaughn van Jaarsveld the same day for continually dropping catches. Of course it's part of folklore how the 'G Bay 13 mob treated the likes of Botham and Hadlee.

It's the way the BA do it, IMO. It's the pantomime 'hilarity' that probably gets them than the downright vicious hostility - even if the player does something good they still give it 'waheeeyyyy'.

I much prefer some clever singing over outright yobbo abuse.

Well since he admitted this what the hell does he think will happen if he plays here again?!

Too mentally weak to succeed. The correct response would be "I'll prove them wrong".

Wrong. The correct response was never to mention it.

Yeah, true enough.

I did mean that this should be the thought process in his head rather than coming out and saying he's a little coward.

Someone who is this mentally fragile isn't going to succeed at top level sport.

Ironic that an Australian would be mentally disintegrated... by the crowd, not even the opposition!

And now everyone knows it, it is open season.

That was surreal. I read this as Amy Winehouse's dad talking about "Barmy Amy" undermining his confidence.
