please give it a rest, skulls - if you can't be civil to Ange, just leave it.
We all have different opinions on these things, and hopefully we can argue them without being personally unpleasant ...

Er, lardy, she's been firing the broadsides, mate. Simple rule, sledge and be sledged. She is the miserable, unpleasant bint these days.

Should'nt be that much of a suprise. Even the Wobblies manages to crap on the Frogs on their last encounter.

I don't see it that way. She rarely posts. I think you have been over-reacting.

England 22 Scotland 16
Someone forgot to tell the Jocks it was their job to turn up and roll over. Spritied stuff.
England will need to play better in Dublin

It's nice just to win the thing finally even if we don't get the GS (I know mathematically we haven't won but realistically we have).

Re: Six Nations 2011
Wales need a 42-point swing in points difference, along with them winning in France and England losing in Ireland.
France-Wales is the last game, probably viewed as the more likely Grand Slam decider at the start of the tournament - perhaps best the other way round though as it doesn't mean England will have won the championship before they kick off. In any case though it will be something of a hollow victory if we don't win in Dublin, although a first title in eight years is certainly welcome!

I thought the Scots autumn form was decent against stronger opposition. I expected to spring an upset or two in this tournament.

Re: Six Nations 2011
England just haven't turned up so far... never mind the Grand Slam, we will be handing Wales the title at this rate.
O'Driscoll denied a record-breaking try by the touch judge in perhaps his last Six Nations game, but Ireland didn't take long to put the record straight.

Re: Six Nations 2011
Well, that's what I said at the start of the 6N season about England traditionally flattering to deceive.
Ireland played with spirit - the entirely predictable mixture of spoiling, scrambling and running they have employed since Fergus Slattery (with more exciting skills) hung up his boots.
Whereas England played like they had been drinking bromide most of the morning.
Hopefully, it will at least serve to lower onward expectations of the Boys in White - among any supporters who have not been sufficiently flattered before.

Re: Six Nations 2011
Well, it's the first time in eight years we've actually had any real hope. Not even challenged for a title since then, so at least that's a step forward. I remember we blew Grand Slam chances in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 - all to different opposition - before finally claiming it in 2003, and we all know what happened later that year, so it's been a step in the right direction. All we've had to shout about in that time since is the bizarre 2007 run to the World Cup final, which the cricket team's current run is somewhat reminiscent of.PeterCS wrote:Hopefully, it will at least serve to lower onward expectations of the Boys in White - among any supporters who have not been sufficiently flattered before.
Championship is ours though unless the French capitulate to Wales in Paris - normally 99% certain that won't happen but after last week you never know. Destroy the English championship hopes and get rid of the clown Lievremont in one go - it could happen.
Great performance from the Irish though, and a well deserved record for BOD - indisputably the greatest Irish player of all time, he's hinted it won't be his 6 Nations farewell but the World Cup is sure to be the end of the road for some of Ireland's golden generation, maybe they will at last have a World Cup run to shout about if they play like they did tonight.

Re: Six Nations 2011
Ireland were all over us like a rash. All in all the 6 Nations has not been a reverberating triumph for the Northern Hemisphere. Mind you, if the All Blacks don't win this WC, they should forsake Rugby and take up Synchronised Knitting instead.

Re: Six Nations 2011
I thought Johnson was pretty true in his summing up
And this was a fair point too
Most promising bunch of young players we've had for a good 5-6 years.
"Let's take it on the chin, they outplayed us. We had a horrible first half
And this was a fair point too
"We had a lot of guys doing this for the first time - not a Grand Slam decider but playing a full championship - and there were a few errors.
"We've got what we've got - a team of good young players. Everyone's got a win and a loss in them, you get that if you don't play well and we got it today.

Re: Six Nations 2011
As I said earlier in the thread, I'm just glad that we've finally managed to win the farking thing. Ireland away was always going to be tough but overall it's been a fantastic tournament for us and sets us up very nicely for the world cup.
Will we win it? Pretty unlikely, but I wouldn't rule out another final.

Re: Six Nations 2011
Pah, sod the young side carp. We got humped by a poor Irish side. We didn't even turn up. Thats THE WORST performance from an England side in a very long time. At least before we were just shoite, now we've got a fairly decent side with some sort of shape and they didn't even farking turn up!!!
