Taking the positives for Australia.
Haddin. Didn't do much wrong. Threw the bat with some success.
Watson. A tireless trier. Was probably Oz's best bowler. Contributed greatly to the crowd's entertainment with a huge unsightly mow to be bowled neck and crop.
Ponting. What can you say? The Little Champion proved the begrudgers wrong, and looks set to carry on for many years to come.
Clarke. Took a good catch. His consistent form with the bat continues, demonstrating that his performances in the Ashes were no fluke. Handy bowler for the opposition too.
M Hussey. Put forward a cogent case for taking over at the NSP immediately.
White. Gave Vix supporters grounds for confidence he will be available for the State for many years to come.
D Hussey. Standout performance with the bat, after nearly getting himself out with a wild swipe straight away. VC material? Also showed you CAN take wickets with slow lobs to the batsman's chest.
Johnson. Nice tats. Quality sledging too - inspiring the batsmen no end.
Lee. Dangerous, intelligent and varied bowling, except when he leaked 14 stupid runs in one over of high pies. Ready for his comeback in Tests - case unanswerable.
Krejza. Showed what a canny bowler Hauritz is.
Tait. Set an unforgettable standard for all current and future Australian seamers to study and avoid at all costs.
