Why can't SA produce any decent batsmen? Apart from Kallis none of theirs are world class. Would Gibbs and Smith be th the worst opening pair ever?

Ken oath. Has ever a more ordinary top 4 ever worn the Baggy Green? Admittedly, it was a result of the decimation of the Aussie side due to World Series Cricket, but it showed the huge gap between the best Aus had to offer (which the Goanna had bought), and the rest. Cosier FFS. My old man used to call him the "farkin fat waddling duck".
