Wisden Cricketer of the Year 2011 Empty Wisden Cricketer of the Year 2011

Tamim Iqbal, Eoin Morgan, Chris Read, Jonathan Trott and Mohammad Amir.

I know what you're thinking - how could they have that disgrace to international cricket in the mix? But I suppose Chris Read did captain his side to the championship...

A bit of a farce that Cooky isn't one of them. They tried to make up for it by putting him on the cover of the WCA 2011.

And that does rather destroy Cook's case as he was all kinds of porridge with the bat last summer.

Yeah I know that. But the performances required is severely limited when you consider it's mostly performances in England by players who haven't already won the award that is required, so the award itself is a bit of a farce, and not always an indication of 'who's so hot right now'.
