This is pretty crude, I know...
And I knocked it up in a couple of seconds, but I think it's mildly interesting anyway.
This is Murali just as he's bringing his bowling arm over in delivery with his arm cocked at about 60 degrees.
Even if his arm - which he *ahem* can't straighten fully - were to straighten say half the distance in delivery, he'd still be double the allowable chucking limit.
I'm sure it's a question of viewing angles and I've measured it all wrong and am basically full of shit, but look what I did with the eyes. Aren't I clever.
That's all.

It's an optical illusion caused by looking at a 3-dimensional action in 2 dimensions.

You know I was taking the piss FFS!
But TBH, it does look worse than it is because the angles are shown on a 2-dimensional plane, and I'm sure you're aware of that.

Aye, it was just a bit of a laugh rather than a stringent scientific test.
Can't believe his action does come in at anywhere near the accepted limit, though.
Just look at it, FFS.

I know. It was just painful to watch him ping it more and more as he struggled to take wickets in Oz, knowing the umps and officials could or would do nowt.

And obviously I'm getting my excuses in early for the upcoming England/Sri Lanka series where Murali will no doubt take about 30 wickets...
Re: This is pretty crude, I know...
He'll be farkin near unplayable. Home turf, Warnie in his sights, and hurting from a caning in Oz . . . he'll break the record in England's 1st innings if your guys don't work out a good strategy.
Watching the Oz tests it is clear that he does throw the doosra up about 6-8 inches wider than the stock ball, and he gives it more air. Most of the Aussies read this well. I hope the poms can or it could be murder.

Imagine how many medals you would have if you included your posts as GD/MF/Carl as well.
