Warney's Last Hurrah
is to be for the Rajasthan Royals Franchise.
Perhaps he should wear a pair of bright blue jodhpurs for his last game on earth.

At least he won't have to put up any more with being called a maggot, a louse and a grub on this forum when he turns out ...

Warnie going out with a whimper - Sydney 2007 should have been his last hurrah not this IPL bollocks.

I'm just glad that Warney doesn't have to bowl to James Taylor. It's never nice to see a fat blonde bloke's insides being ripped out by the sheer terror of his adversary. The big little man has torn more than a few sets of guts out of people by sheer brain power alone.

Re: Warney's Last Hurrah
It's not a rule that you have to go out on top, sportspeople who do so are always remembered for it but you can't blame them for continuing to enjoy what they do after they've stepped down from the very top level. Warne perhaps rightly decided to retire from Test cricket after that high point, rather than hanging around the Test arena when he and his team were well past their prime, but it's fair enough that he wanted to carry on playing some form of cricket for a few more years.Basil wrote:Warnie going out with a whimper - Sydney 2007 should have been his last hurrah not this IPL bollocks.

Re: Warney's Last Hurrah
It's a bit like George Best making a few bucks playing for Brisbane in the Australian Soccer League, or Dudley Moore making squillions for all those sh!tty movies in Hollywood after excelling in radio comedy with Cook. There's nothing wrong with it. Those monkeys aren't paying peanuts.
