Forget Global Warming...
The planets are aligning so the Earth's core is gonna split.
Anyone getting up for a look?
"Astronomers and stargazers will be looking to the dawn sky tomorrow as planets Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter align over the southern hemisphere.
Astrologists predict the visual treat, which will be visible just above the horizon around sunrise, will influence the behaviour and emotions of those on Earth."
--------------------------------------------------------------
Look out h, you might have a lot of umpiring to do tomorrow.

hmmnn...maybe we should have a thread "forummers as umpires"
embee the only real ump here (tho apparently he is known as the hanging umpire) could adjudicate

Great idea, h. "Who here is an umpire?" One post from MB - "me". Although the Assassin knows we know that so probably wouldn't be bothered.
Awesome contribution by h as usual.

"The Venus and Mars together in the sky indicates people born around this time will have a strong sexual magnetism and a strongly sensual nature," he said.
Astrologer Sarah Kulkens agrees the alignment will influence people on Earth, but says it may not all be positive.
..and what Planet do these weirdo's reside on?

Re: Forget Global Warming...
But where is Planet Clare?
Ahhhahhahhahh
She came from Planet Claire
I knew she came from there
She drove a Plymouth Satellite
Faster than the speed of light
Planet Claire has pink air
All the trees are red
No one ever dies there
No one has a head
Ahhhahhhahhahh
Some say she's from Mars
Or one of the seven stars
That shine after 3:30 in the morning
WELL SHE ISN'T
Ahhhahhhahhahhahhahh
Ahhhahhhahhahhahhahh ... they don't write songs like that any more.

Re: Forget Global Warming...
26 mins long but well worth a watch. It's a new doco about mining the Moon and going to Mars. The dude at the 13 to 16 minute mark is possibly the future's Lang Hancock or Twiggy Forrest.
In other news, White Knight Two carrying carries Virgin Galactic's Spaceship Two crashed in the desert overnight. . A set back, but the visionaries behind this and other future Mars/Moon missions won't be deterred.

Indeed. Still, without Chuck Yeager we would never have gone to the Moon.
And will the good looking lass Kelly on the video above become the Porn Queen of Mars.

Re: Forget Global Warming...
No doubt we'll hear a whole bunch of small-minded non-visionaries questioning why humans need to go into space at all. But it will be a sad day indeed when we have no curiosity, drive, or ambition to break new ground. It sounds a bit geeky, but sooner or later the human race will need to find places to live beyond Earth if they want to survive as a species.

Aye Trev. As it says on the video, Stephen Hawking said "not going to Mars would be like a castaway on an island refusing to look for a way off".

In a damning indictment of humanity, I found it interesting that the dude leading Mars One said the return on his sizeable investment will be in a fly-on-the-wall reality show (earning a $bill a day!!!). So 10 years from now billions may be tuning into Big Brother Mars.

The money would be better spent ensuring that this planet survives.
