He took wickets in a Vic v MCC game prior to the 1st Test, which got him selected. He was sh!t in the Ashes, famous only for almost helping Rod Marsh to a maiden Test ton, until Bill Lawry declared on Bachhus (92*) in Melbourne. Froggy was perhaps the worst batsman I ever saw play for Aus. Even Bruce Francis was better than him.

Then there was Les Joslin who was originally thought to be a superstar but with every FC match he played he got worse & worse & worse!

Les, 7 and 2 in one test I think, another shooting star, great til he got chosen, then he lost it and was playing subdistrict cricket within 2-3 years of touring England.

His brother (?) Grant hung around a bit longer in District cricket IIRC
