I know, it's the most mental thing I've heard - especially reinforcing it with the whole '1966' comment - I mean come awn - this isn't 1990. Chris Waddle has no mullet, Ian Brown doesn't look fresh-faced.

It's not rained up here all day, in the place that hasn't had a test this summer....

Get rid of bidding and bring back rotation for all venues capable of hosting tests and put the chuffing Oval in the rota. London ain't that special.

Worked out lovely for England, though.

Got a good look at the pitch and India's "attack" in quite bowler friendly overhead conditions. Found it was all a piece of piss, nothing to fear but fear itself.

Back tomorrow under the sunshine to sex their stats up.
