Ah, sorry, I thought you meant we were welcome to Kirsten if we could get him to break his contract. Your apparent dislike (my mistake) of Kirsten surprised me. Makes sense now.taipan wrote:skully wrote:Sorry, didn't realise he'd signed on for the Yarps. You don't rate him?
Yep, Kirsten as head coach, Donald bowling, and looks like Jonty will do the fielding.
Arthur? No.

A list, of some sort, that may or may not by complete, of players who have been on the field throughout a Test.lardbucket wrote:embee wrote:Allan D wrote:Dravid aiming for the record of being on the field throughout a Test played over 5 days which I think would be unique.

Ohh FFS. Get on with it Mishra, you ponce. Is he trying delaying tactics this early on?

... and what about that aborted Test in the West Indies, where I imagine all the West Indians were on the field for the whole match?

Utterly toying with Swann. Get him off. Easy, easy runs.
Re: England v India, 4th Test, The Oval, 18-22 August, 2011
SRT will get a big last day ton, save the draw, and almost nobody will care. Sad but true.

Well, we're certainly helping him. Bopara bowling in the 2nd hour. We've given up. Fill your boots India..........
Re: England v India, 4th Test, The Oval, 18-22 August, 2011
I hope Mishra scores the century, we finally get one lousy draw, and SRT gets out on 99.

Dread!
Got to keep at it with the pacemen, a quick 3 wickets and it changes things completely....
Amazingly Mishra has batted with more nous than most of the celebrated top 6.

Yeah, dire session all in all. I said Cook's in-front-of-bat catching was tops. He goes and shells Sachin, 2 overs before lunch. c*ck.
Re: England v India, 4th Test, The Oval, 18-22 August, 2011
Bell's a better catcher than Cook under the lid. Always has been.
This one's done. Nothing to see here folks. England's seamers looking innocuous, the "word's best spinner" has barely turned anything and been milked like a cow slut, the captain has the imagination of a rock.
They'll let it drift with part-time bowlers for 15 overs after lunch, during which time India will get a lead and Sachin will get his hundred, then have one last crack with the new ball - although the horse will have long since bolted by then.
Disappointingly limp end to the series. Where's the hostility? Mishra's a plucky tail-ender. Don't we usually bomb them?
Limp.

Aye. Have been watching much of it, flicking between SRT and Mishra's defiance and Malinger's 10 wickets in the innings, and was surprised that Broadaxe and Fat Brezzy didn't bounce the fark out of Mishra. In fact at one point I think I imagined Bops bowling half-trackers at SRT.Dello wrote:Disappointingly limp end to the series. Where's the hostility? Mishra's a plucky tail-ender. And shame for Swanny to see SRT shelled by Chef.

Wickets @ 40s against Australia and @ 50s against India in his most recent series against reasonable batsmen.
Re: England v India, 4th Test, The Oval, 18-22 August, 2011
Bell's the best short leg / silly point in the entire world. Just thought Cook was pretty decent too. He must've had to have fed the chickens at 4am so he's taking a f*cking break. Can't moan too much about the lack of intensity. I'd imagine it's hard to keep up, against a bunch of clueless mofos. Shame, though, a 4-0 drilling sounds so much better.
Re: England v India, 4th Test, The Oval, 18-22 August, 2011
A whitewash is still very much on. Don't give up hope, you soap-dodgers.

Are his overall figures against these two countries much better?

Dear oh dear oh dear. The usual 70-80 over buffet. Quick Sachin, get your f*cking plate. It's party time.

Has Mishra taken Harbhajan's place as the Indian spinner who can't bowl but might score a century?
