Just back from my GP, and he was absolutely filthy (as we all were) at the Wannabees performance v the Paddies. Brightened up his day when i gave him the opportunity to sledge the weak qunts. He was particularly scathing on Cooper. Cool

Another very ordinary half. One thing is confirmed in my mind, Ben Mcalman & Anthony Faingaa should never play for Australia again, even though the latter scored a seagull try.
Cooper is having another shyte game. I'd almost be tempted to start him from the bench in future games.
They are going to have to improve by another 75% to get through the finals.

Stephanie needs to grab the arrogant grub by the balls in a powerful squirrel grip and tell him she is not letting go until he promises to follow Deans' game plan and not be a showpony hail mary queen.

Aust went back to basics in the second half & looked a lot better for it. They eventually got past the pass mark (50 point advantage). Cooper is still a worry but the gameplay is looking a lot more settled.

It's not rocket science, is it? Teams that do the basics well usually do pretty well in World Cups.

Cooper should go back to breaking into flats and stealing laptops.

That was certainly a performance to put a smile on Deano's face and make the barrackers purr with delight. From the forwards who moisturise within an inch of their lives, to the backs who look like they have been sprinting since the Summer of Love, right down to the replacement goalkicker who keeps his braincap on when kicking .... a well-oiled outfit like this must surely have reinstalled itself as favourite for the pot.

They never let the Eagles play, let alone fly.

It's genius by the sheep shaggers really.

Now that's harsh.

How quickly things can turn around.

The French side didn't look that weak, they've picked a scrum half at 10 but that sounds about par for the course for this coach. Can't see them not giving it their best efforts, and a tough game will actually be good for NZ given how undercooked they are when they hit the QFs of most World Cups...

No-one here complaining about Aus' injuries? Madness, I've heard it's up to 6 probable first-teamers. Nuts man.

Oh, Eng/Rom = meh. NZ/Fra = cannot wait.

England need to score 50 plus really, preferably 70 or 80. If they make hard work of this one the pressure will pile on ahead of the Scotland game.

I don't reckon so. They've got a few points on the board, really, it's not like any big floggings have happened in the group. It's all cool. We're talking moonwalking into the next round.

The press will give them a hammering if the scoreline and performance are unconvincing though. With Tindallgate and a couple of ordinary showings the media are already against them. We need a hat-trick of Ashton dives, Jonny to find his kicking boots, and the forwards to stop giving away stupid penalties!

They got a hammering off the press in 2007, a lot closer to home and it mattered little. Escaping the Argentina game and an eventual panelling of Georgia means we're in pretty good shape. Don't get me wrong, I don't think we've done well at all. It doesn't augur brightly for a long tournament. All I mean is I just think we're in a good position in the group.

Frankly, unless any representative England side is giving Johnny Foreigner what for and a damn good mouthful of British spunk the english media is never happy.

Indeed. That's about my level of interest at the moment. These minnow bashing rounds are rubbish. Why they even telecast games with lightweights like Aus playing is beyond me. Very Happy

England are doing it by the numbers, which is all they had to do to get over Romania who, despite showing a ton of courage, just lack the technical skills to be any challange.

NZ v France should have been a real game.

But the Garlics got stomped by two onslaughts, one at the start of each half.

Jonny W must be getting on a bit.

If he ever jacks it in the WC will miss his conversion routine, which always make me think he's about to take a dump.
