I wasn't, but I'm pretty close now and it'd be rude not to.

Re: Rugby Gilly
On second thoughts, I'd have to know something about Overtons, 'Supernatural', NFL, and basketball. Too difficult.

Determination, being willing to wear the wrath of Wally afterwards, and the motivation of wanting to make skully lose a bet.lardbucket wrote:and on third thoughts - there was a way.

And I think I found a quiet time. Could probably do it again now, have upgraded the computer over the weekend to something seriously fast.

Quarter final time & there are three even money contests:
Wales to prevail
France to fold
Boks to bomb

Re: Rugby Gilly
Tight game. Wales leading 10 - 3 but the Paddys are pressing. Could go down to the wire.
Re: Rugby Gilly
Taffys by seven at the half. I still expect they will discover some way of losing like they always do.
Re: Rugby Gilly
Paddys score in the corner & its 10 all. I would expect Ireland to go on with it from here.
Re: Rugby Gilly
One minute to go. Ireland can't win. I'm sure the Welsh won't agree but this has to go down as a big upset.
We may even see an appearance from DJ

Re: Rugby Gilly
Wales look the goods. It's not inconceivable that they could go all the way.

Um....yes it is. I would even back Australia to beat Wales. They beat Ireland because they know their game. They will be found out against southern hemisphere sides.
Re: Rugby Gilly
Hmm. Ireland beat Australia, and Wales beat Ireland. And Wales should have beaten the Springboks a few weeks ago but missed an easy drop goal at the end of the match. But i'm glad you're talking the Wallabies up. Keep going......

It's all academic. The French will roll through to the final, then go to sleep.

When was the last time Wales beat Australia?
Re: Rugby Gilly
I notice the Channel Nine commentators seemed pretty upbeat before our quarter-final tomorrow. They said we were lucky to lose to Ireland and avoid playing Wales.

Re: Rugby Gilly
My edit was a bit too late. They should have beaten the Springboks a couple of weeks ago but missed a drop goal at the end. They are the form team. Australia was outplayed by Russia in the second half the other day......

Means nothing. Traditionally, Australia has always struggled against Ireland but have had no problems against Wales.
Re: Rugby Gilly
The momentum of this Wales side will be hard to stop now, we've seen it in a couple of Six Nations when they were unfancied at the start but came away with Grand Slams.
