It's just occurred to me that our Eurovison Song contestant is almost 11 years older than Harry Redknapp, the putative next England football manager, who became of pensionable age yesterday. I wonder if Ray Illingworth, who turns 80 this June, has been asked if he is available as emergency cover for the Sri Lanka tour this month?
