Damn, Razzak out. Shame! Need four off the last ball now (heard it was an utter shambles of a fielding effort in the 3 runs)

Piss! Pak win by two runs. Another great game!

Congratulations to Pakistan, showed some bottle, and much deserved congratulations to Bangladesh. Fantastic tournament, largely owing to the Bangla performances.

Aye, that's where they lost the match. Was that Mushfiqur crying? Harsh to lose.
Sarfraz Ahmed deserves some credit for his performance.
In fact, pretty much everyone's crying now.

At least they've competed in every match rather than just fluking a couple in. Good to see. I remain unconfident that they'll carry this on though.

Still, four matches with no disgraces, that's something for Bdesh. They've had big wins before ... heck, they did pretty well in the WC, EXCEPT that two of the matches were utter debacles. If they'd merely lost them in respectable fashion you'd have said they had a good cup.
Hopefully this means they have turned the corner.

Aye, as someone else said there have been many false dawns... they wrecked NZ, they had a few good performances against top teams in a row and then they reverted to type. Maybe the BPL helped a few of them??? Sounds silly but it may not be.
Re: Bangladesh v Pakistan, Asia Cup Final, Dhaka, 22 March, 2012
Shakib could have gotten the Player of the Series too. Three fifties, a 49 and a few wickets.
Hopefully this is a turn around. I'm not confident, but they've competed against three top ODI teams at last (the first time?). Fair play to Shahid Afridi and Misbah, who called Bangladesh the real winners.

Unfortunately I only got to see that tense last over with 9 needed off 6.
Bangars won actually by -2 runs.
Otherwise a good effort. They should have won this for the fans. They would have all retired heroes with names etched in history books. Razzaq should be kicked in his balls for that shot he played. Seriously crap.

Looks like it was a cracking Final. Congrats to the Wackies on taking it out, and kudos to the Bangers on such a great tournament. To only fall 3 short of victory must be a bit devastating for them.

Many congrats to BD for playing so well through out the tournament, i really hope they visit Pakistan soon.
Another solid result for Pakistan under the captaincy of Misbah. With the exception of the limited overs series defeat against England Misbah has done a remarkable job. Considering the spot fixing drama, domestic structure issues and zero international cricket in the country the performance is outstanding and over the recent timesin BOTH tests and ODIs Pakistan have been the best team in Asia .
Despite this tremendous success i am still NOT overly satisfied with the pace bowling, the likes of Cheema and Gul are only good with the old ball. Wahab Riaz looks very rusty while Azam is a mere part timer, i hope they experiment with some of the younger bowlers like Junaid Khan in the upcoming ODIs vs BAN.
