The latest thing I don't understand...
I know it's a long list, but anyway...
Why do cricketers have some sort of football game during training sessions? The skills of the games are not relevant to each other in any real way...

The key ingredient of the ball is missing from that pic. But yes, your point is a valid one. There's a reason they're not being paid a sh*tload to play in the Premier League.

It's a "spot the ball" competition.

Most non-English cricketers I've seen warm up with football are shin-kicking hackers with the ball control of a 7 year old schoolgirl who hates football. Maybe our national side can sign them up.
As for why, I suppose it's less boring than normal warm-ups but the only positive I can see is it gets them moving.

Matty Prior picked up a knock playing football before the Headingley test in 2009 IIRC

True. It's the same logic that inspires me to carry a bomb on overseas trips. The odds of there being two on the same plane are incredibly low.

Must make sure that comment is noticed by the authorities before lardy's next overseas trip. Or his next return flight from overseas.lardbucket wrote:G.Wood wrote:They may think a player is less likely to step on a football

Perhaps if I included phrases like "kill Obama" "9-11 was a rehearsal" and "Jihad would be a good thing" it'll get picked up by the CIAbots...

I took one of those inflatable neck pillows on a flight to Aus once and I believe, to torment my boyfriend, who gets real touchy about that kind of thing, I said 'Don't worry, I'll blow it up on the plane' while we were waiting to check in. This was before the twitter comment arrests at least.

Think I was in Heathrow. It was stupid, but he was getting on my nerves.
At least I didn't say 'bombs away' or 'that's the bomb' or bombastic.
