S09E16 - Season Finale. Meh.

- A massive storm envelopes TWD land, and The Kingdom's dodgy infrastructure can't cope. Zeke's people have to abandon their home and make for Hilltop.
On the journey Lydia tries to kill herself by first almost letting a trapped zombie bite her, then by begging Carol to kill her. Neither works. She ends the ep happily in a snow fight with Judith and others.
Meanwhile in Alexandria, they too are struggling to stay warm. One safe house's chimney blocks so they have to battle through the snow to Aaron's place. This seems to take forever, and on the way Judith hears Daryl's dog (which had earlier gone missing in the storm). Negan (freed from prison to save him from freezing to death) runs after her and saves her and the dog. For his trouble he is hit by flying debris and has his leg badly cut. Later, Michonne thanks him for his selfless act and he expresses his admiration for Judith.
The trip to Hilltop seemed way longer than usual and required the Kingdom's people to cross Whisperer land. They have to fight off some zombies buried in the snow but they eventually make it to Hilltop. There Carol decides she needs a change and bids goodbye to Zeke. She returns to Alexandria with Michonne, Daryl, Aaron and Lydia.
Alpha tells Beta she needs to be stronger for what's coming - whatever that is. He toughens her why whipping and cutting her bare forearm.
Ep ends with Zeke talking to Judith via Eugene's radio network. They sign off then a voice crackles across the radio. It's a voice (which sounded a bit like Maggie - could be wrong) asking "is anyone there?"

Finally watched the first series of Stranger Things last week (my 11yo daughter wanted to watch it but not alone and Mrs K hates scary shows).
All a bit meh I thought - certainly didn't live up to the hype.
