Or are we now slaves to litigation?
And we hear about this on the same day that the water companies are trying to justify why they won't pay back any time soon the money they have been wrongfully billing us for because of the ill-fated desal plant. According to them they need to stabilise their accounts so can't afford it but will hold it in credit to offset future shot-term price rises.
Wonder whether customers will be able to use the same justification to pay bills when it best suits them.

No, it will be up and running eventually but has been subject to delays, cracking, etc.
The irony is that after they started building it the drought broke.
But at the moment we're being in charged in theory for water we are supposedly receiving from it.

Yeah, the Sydney desal plant had the same effect. They've just mothballed/suspended animationed ours with the dam brimming. Won't come back on until the levels drop below 80% but we still pay.

No surer way to break a drought than to commit several billion to a desalt plant.

Re: Is the world really going mad?
And another weird thing going on is that our private rail company has been avoiding fines from the govt. by ordering drivers to skip stations. Commuters are complaining but the CEO points out that while 100 might be unhappy, thousands are getting to their destinations quicker.
As some letters to our broadsheet have suggested, our state is now writing the scripts for Yes Minister.

To be fair, I don't believe I have ever tried to misrepresent myself by pretending to GAF about anyone else.
