Twenty20 not ODI.
Zimbabwe if Parnell's in form. Now, South Africa will win by a hundred and fifty runs.

Wessels thinks that they may be undercooked for the tour of the UK.
Zimbots made a creditable 176.

Are the Zimmers going to pull off a 'mighty' T20 win?

Zimbots beat the Saffers quite comfortably in the end. Looks like the SA depth is not that great or maybe they are picking the wrong players. I've seen others perform better than some they having going around here. I can't really imagine why they keep picking Ontong for instance. Saving their blushes is the fact that this is unofficial.

Doesn't augur well for them with the T20 WC coming along soon. Not sure if they'll play Kallis but subject to fitness you imagine that AB, Steyn, Morkel, du Plessis and Tahir might get a gig. And for the record I think that Rossouw, de Kock, Hendricks and Elgar are the ones who should be getting chances based on what I've read and seen statistically. I notice that our selectors turn over a lot of players. As mentioned, find it strange that someone like Ontong keeps popping up. Maybe Albie Morkel too.

Still if you've got Hashim Amla in your team, you're f*cked.
Is it any coincidence his name spells 'I'm a sham, lah' ('lah', being the Scouse for 'like')

Doubt it but they seem to get a lot of practice in this format.

Well, yes. I'd eat my hat if they won the World cup, it is a second South African team they played today.

SA can pull out a much better side than that. Just ask their paymasters.
Re: Zimbabwe v South Africa, 3rd Tri-series T20, Harare, 20 June, 2012
That's it. We`re farked for the England tour. Definitely undercooked.
BTW red. Elgar is not a T20 dtyle player.

Welly well well. Looks a tidy effort by the Zimmers, albeit v a SAffer 2nd XI. Well done them.
176 in a JAMITT is a fair effort, and that's not the worst Yarp bowling line up I've ever seen.

Any reason why these games aren't official international T20s?

They're basic 'Twenty20' matches, as opposed to International T20s.

I think it's because the ICC sets the numbers of T20 matches countries can play and they were organised in the off-season as practice matches to get the cobwebs out before the T20 WC.
Zimbots seem to be accounting for the Bangles on a consistent basis these days too.
